One way that I like to think about building my wealth, is as growing a tree.
I don’t know if you have ever tried to grow a plant, perhaps you have… well it’s not actually as easy as most would think.
A plant needs water, sunlight and time to grow and become bushy and healthy.
If you expect to plant a tree and then be able to eat its fruits a week later you will be sorely disappointed.
Yet if you take a view like a farmer would, and would like to cultivate a crop, there is a time to sow and there is a time to reap.
When a farmer wants to grow mangoes, they understand that there is a time to plant, a time for growth and a time to harvest.
Care and attention must be made to ensure that the trees get everything that they need, and avoid things that they don’t.
And this is the exactly the way you should view your business.
If you are starting a business online this is especially true because a website is very much like a plant.
When you first start it is just a seedling and needs lots of care and attention.
You begin to grow out pages which act like branches. These branches often have many other pages associated to them which make leaves.
If you continue to consistently give your website what it needs then before long it will grow big and strong.
Only once you have gone through the proper procedure to grow a plant, or a website, will you be able to eat the fruit.
And if you haven’t started your business yet and are wondering when the best time to start is.
Then let me leave you with this because it is absolutely true…
“The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago., The second best time is right now”.
So if you have dreams of making millions of dollars and even possibly one day becoming a billionaire…
Then my advice to you is to start now, grow consistently over time and reap the fruits of your efforts over the long-term.
It is never too late to start. The sooner you do, the sooner you will be eating the delicious fruit and living life on your own terms.
